Unprovoked: Kansas City Old School Dude Shot & Killed Lady

A glimpse at the local quotient of violence getting worse . . . Here's a passage from a recent crime story that stands out:

"The sister claimed she was in the bedroom talking to O’Hara when Juan Maiden walked in and shot her unprovoked. She said he shot the victim two more times as she lay on the ground. The sister said she attacked Maiden to protect her sister, including by hitting him over the head with a printer and knocking the handgun, which was empty, out of his hand."
