Mayor Q Shouldn't Have Stuck His Neck Out For The Doomed Campaign Of Veep Kamala Harris

When Mayor Q looks back on his career THIS will be one of his biggest regrets. The Veep never had a chance & KC's top politico pretending as much not only eroded his credibility BUT it revealed that he didn't have much political pull inside the Beltway as locals imagined. 

Now . . . Mayor Q is thinking about taking a job on the other side of the street and his exit path from his current gig seems "complicated" at best. 

Lucas Kunce Took Another Shot & Lost

Somebody please write a letter to the Pentagon and ask for a better facsimile of a local candidate because this standard issue faux-progressive clearly malfunctioned when he clipped a newsie by accident and didn't come close to challenging Senator Hawley despite a year of chest thumping and millions in wasted campaign cash. 

Guv. Kelly's Legacy Now On Chopping Block??!

Our progressive friends still love her . . . She has confounded the GOP but STILL didn't make much progress in breaking the Republican Super-Majority in Topeka. And now . . . Look for the Republicans to clap back against her even harder . . . Also . . . Her role in stealing teams from the KCMO urban core in order to power suburban economies isn't the least bit progressive and should make her a political enemy of EVERYONE who lives in KC proper.

Kansas City Royals Owner John Sherman Clearly Wants To Fly The Downtown Coop

He was a close runner up for the top spot.

We give credit to Salvy for a great season and miraculous Royals turnaround in 2024 . . . Meanwhile, Sherman still isn't ready to talk turkey with locals and his sketchy shenanigans have left a bad taste in everyone's mouth when it comes to paying for the home team. 

And that brings us to our top prize . . . 

Jackson County Exec Frank White & The Legislature Earn Our TOP TKC Turkey Award

Courthouse insiders mistakenly believe that voters care about the deets of their legislative grind.

Here's the big picture . . .

All of these turkeys MUST put their heads together and reach a compromise because giving back 70 MILLION BUCKS is nothing more than bird brain bitterness from county government.

Now . . .

We've noted that the buck/bucks stop with the Exec . . . But our legislators are bound to suffer some blowback if this thing goes south.

Meanwhile . . .

Another property tax fight is in the works whilst the court fight over the last hot mess continues.
