Medical Examiner Releases Report Detailing Tragic Killing Of Kansas Mom

The state released the examiner’s 13-page autopsy report detailing Kelley’s death.

“It is my opinion that her death was very rapid,” Dr. Celia Cobb, Oklahoma medical examiner, wrote. “She was most likely deceased before she was placed inside the freezer.”

In short, the report says Kelley died from nine stab wounds and seven cuts. Almost all were to the back of her neck and head. They fractured her vertebrae and damaged her spinal cord.

Two cuts were to her hand, indicating she tried to defend herself. There were also possible stun gun marks on the neck and shoulder.

Oklahoma authorities have released the medical examiner's report detailing the death of Jilian Kelley. Kelley and Veronica Butler were murdered earlier this year after they traveled from Hugoton to pick up Butler's children in Oklahoma.
