TODAY KANSAS CITY GARNERED THE FIRST TASTE OF WINTER WITH AN EPIC TWO TO THREE INCHES OF SNOW THAT THREATENED DRIVERS ACROSS THE METRO!!!
Don't make fun. Two to three inches can be VERY important to some people.
Again . . . We seemed to have survived blanket news coverage, more than a few unfortunate crashes and Holiday weekend screen time for the best local newsies.

Kansas City, St. Louis get first accumulating snow of season as quick-hitting storm slickens roads
A weak area of low pressure that developed over the Plains had enough moisture and cold air to produce the first measurable snowfall of the season from communities in Kansas to the Ohio Valley. A narrow band of snow formed over the Interstate 70 corridor dropping anywhere from 1-6" of snow and making travel slick.
Saturday snowfall is expected to taper off after noon
Saturday will have high temperatures around 34 degrees; snow will accumulate in some areas more than others, with thicker snow likely east of Kansas City.
