Independence's historic Twin Drive-In movie theater to close after 60 years of screenings
After 100 years of bringing cinema to the Kansas City area, B&B Theatres Twin Drive-In announced on Monday that it will close on Nov. 17.

Independence's Twin Drive-In, owned by the B&B Theatres chain, is shutting down after its landlord increased its rent by 350%. Its absence will leave just one drive-in movie theater in the Kansas City region.
