Kansas City Homicide #135: Double Lady Shooting Leaves Woman Dead On Westside

An early evening ruckus near a hotspot housing project resulted in tragedy this evening and this town's latest deadly shooting.

Here's the first report followed by more deets . . .

Homicide 1300 Block of West Bluff Dr.

Tonight at 8:25pm officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of West Bluff Dr on a shooting call.
On arrival officers were notified that two shooting victims had just left the scene in a vehicle.

Additional responding officers located a vehicle just to the east on Ceaser Chavez with two adult female shooting victims inside. Officers called for EMS to that location who transported both victims to the hospital for treatment.

At the hospital one of the shooting victims was listed in stable condition. The second shooting victim was declared deceased by medical personnel.

Preliminary investigation indicates that there was a large disturbance outside an apartment on West Bluff Dr. involving multiple people, including the victims. The disturbance escalated when additional people arrived at the location and one or more of them fired gunshots striking both victims.

Detectives and Crime Scene Personnel are processing evidence at the original scene and the other secondary scene where the vehicle was located, as well as canvassing for witnesses to try to get a better idea of what led up to the shooting.

If anyone heard or saw anything in this area or has any information they are asked to contact Homicide detectives directly at 816-234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline anonymously at 816-474-TIPS. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information submitted anonymously to the TIPS hotline.
