Kansas City Fire Stations Finally Transition To 'All-Gender' Facilities

Local first responder resources receive an inclusive update in order to accommodate a broader diversity of workers.

Sure . . . This move might garner some resistance. But let's not forget that KCMO was recently forced to settle a $1.3-MILLION settlement over a pee-pee lawsuit and frat-house pranks performed on employee gear.

And so . . .

Maybe a reminder that TAXPAYER FUNDED FIRE STATIONS are a PUBLIC resource deserving of professional conduct might not be such a bad thing.

Each fire station is receiving upgrades to its sleeping quarters and bathrooms as part of a 2021 City of Kansas City, Missouri initiative to include all-gender bathrooms in city-owned facilities.

Buildings will also be getting a cosmetic facelift with new paint and flooring. Overall, the projects are taking 6-9 months to complete.
