At the very least . . . Follow-up on a November 2023 scary altercation doesn't inspire much confidence in the future of Kansas City urban retail.
Moreover . . . And given this year's KCMO spike in property crime . . .
WILL KANSAS CITY & COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA CONFRONT ANOTHER HOLIDAY SEASON OF STEALING?!?
This time around there's no COVID check to cash and going forward we're noticing that austerity might be MAGA's biggest move to reverse the course on Prez Biden policy.
Remember . . .
There's usually a post-election recession because politicos don't have to worry about voters for awhile. Meanwhile, the boost to the economy after MAGA's historic win doesn't solve structural problems with the national debt, trade deficits and the ongoing threat of more inflation.
Even worse . . .
Property crime only gets worse amid harsh times.
And all of this sets the stage for a quick review of local Country Club Plaza crime story that preceded yet another store shut down and shows us that some of this cowtown's most dangerous criminals never get locked up.
Check the deets and more reporting . . .
"On Nov. 2, 2023, she allegedly held an employee of Moosejaw at gunpoint as she stole around $750 in North Face items. The business was located at 439 W. 47th St. on the Country Club Plaza at the time.
"As a result, she has been charged with harassment, armed criminal action and stealing. She could spend up to 26 years in prison and pay a $20,000 fine if found guilty. A warrant has not yet been issued for arrest and she does not appear to be behind bars. A pre-trial conference is expected to be held at 10 a.m. on Dec. 20."
