Here's a report tonight that challenges a decision of an elected official who will be replaced after deciding not to seek another term . . .

John Bartrom’s sisters still question why prosecutors never charged the shooter. They believe the Jackson County prosecutor’s office made their brother look like an aggressor in a March statement, which they don’t see based on their review of surveillance videos from the gas station.

The prosecutor’s March statement said, "Evidence showed the man who shot Bartrom fired a handgun after Bartrom struggled with the man and Bartrom tried to pull the man from his vehicle.”

“Our brother was murdered,” said Nora Schwartz, Bartrom’s sister. “And his case was closed as fast as you can possibly close a case.”
