Real life problems in the urban core seem to be getting worse with no real solutions forthcoming before the weather turns cold.
Accordingly . . . Here's a glimpse at the newspaper attempting to push for more city hall (taxpayer) resources allocated for the the residents of this makeshift community . . . Check-it . . .
"But several people living in the Lykins neighborhood in the Historic Northeast say a shelter would be better than what is happening in their residential area, where people living outside have taken over vacant lots. The encampments have contributed to fires, loose animals, sanitation issues and last month, a homicide."

Several encampments have sprung up in the Lykins neighborhood in northeast Kansas City, including on vacant residential lots. Neighbors who live nearby want the city to help.
