Former Kansas City Mayor Funky Shares Meme 'Mourning' After 2024 MAGA Victory

A public post sahred by some of the BEST & BRIGHTEST TKC READERS . . .

We notice former Kansas City Mayor Mark Funkhouser seemed to be gloomy as of late . . . AGAIN . . . This time regarding 2024 election outcome.

Apropos for #TBT . . .

Here's a quote from the meme he shared much to the surprise of longtime followers.

"We have now shown the world, and our children, that we were not ready or willing to grow as a nation. We prefer to embrace old hate, outdated ways and historic divisions."

To be fair . . .

It's just a meme that former KCMO Mayor shared and NOT a personal statement

Still . . .

Here's the thing beyond sketchy social media posturing . . .

Some of our conservative friends liked the guy because he was an alternative from the dominance of the East side/ Freedom Inc. voting block BUT THEN didn't realize that his politics were sketchy, ultra-progressive and impractical at best . . . And the guy was mostly incompetent even without so many reports of his wife prancing around city hall with no shoes . . . In retrospect . . . That was actually the best (or at least the funniest) part of his tenure.

But I digress . . .
