Kansas City sports talker Bob Fescoe recently offered extend commentary from "multiple sources" regarding a Royals a move to the Golden Ghetto.
Ironically . . .
Rather than downtown plans they've been wasting everyone's time with whilst demanding MILLIONS in taxpayer subsidy . . . Allegedly, they're now looking at a place near Leawood or South Overland Park.
If there's any truth to the suburban rumors, this once again offers a hit to front office credibility and provides YET ANOTHER REASON TO HATE OWNER JOHN SHERMAN given so many people who pushed their weird idea of urban density.
On the other hand, like most things concerning new stadiums . . . There's a chance that a lot of this conversation could be nothing more than hype.
Here's the word . . .
"According to Bob Fescoe of 96.5 The Fan, the Royals are looking at sites in Johnson County, Kansas. In particular, they are looking at two particular locations - one at the Brookridge proposed development at I-435 and Antioch Road, and another at the site of the former Sprint Campus at 119th and Nall."
