Citizen Mail Fraud Complaints Confront Jackson County Property Tax Hike

A post by Kansas City metro tax fighter Preston Smith offers a glimpse at the most serious charges to face Jackson County so far.

Remember . . .

MAIL FRAUD IS A FEDERAL OFFENSE & THIS ANGLE COULD FIND MORE SUPPORT AMONGST REPUBLICANS AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL!!!

From our perspective . . . TKC IS NOT GIVING LEGAL ADVICE . . . We're merely sharing noteworthy grassroots activism starting to emerge . . .

"I had two federal attorneys contact me and tell me that we had an excellent case for the investigation and prosecution of mail fraud, based on what we now know about how the County conducted the 2023 and likely the 2019 assessments . . .

"This is our LAST idea that I have to fix this problem. The pending case of the County vs. State Tax Commission is likely to drag onto at least next June. Even if we win that decision at the state Supreme Court, it is VERY likely that the County will roll back the 2023/2024 assessments, then JACK UP the 2025 assessments in the June 2025 notices to MORE THAN make up whatever rollback occurs. THIS IS NOT GOING TO STOP UNLESS WE TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW."

Preston Smith: "A formal complaint with the Postmaster Inspector so they will initiate a federal investigation into the Jackson County 2023 and 2024 tax collections."
