Threats Force Armed Security At Kansas City Election Offices

Campaign 2024 is already proving contentions as a local election offices recently reported sketchy mail and heightened security given a great deal of threatening rhetoric.

TKC fun fact . . . A lot of people might not realize that messing with any aspect of an election is a federal offense despite local offenses being uncommon throughout most of the modern political era. 

However, authorities have always taken election shenanigans seriously and we can only hope that keyboard culture warriors from "many sides" won't forget that real life consequences can be tougher than easily flouted rules for social media flexing.

Here's a peek at politics getting serious in the metro and the need for more security . . . Check-it:

"Going into Election Day, they have armed officers at all its sites and coordinate with KCPD, SWAT, and emergency management services to keep workers safe. The Wyandotte County Election Office also works with local, state, and federal agencies."
