Overland Park Convention Center Named One of ‘North America’s Top Convention Centers’ for Sixth Consecutive Year

Overland Park, Kan. (Oct. 21, 2024)—For the sixth year in a row, the Overland Park Convention Center has been honored as one of North America's Top 25 Convention Centers by EXHIBITOR Magazine, a premier publication in the events industry. This prestigious recognition highlights the center's commitment to excellence in hosting trade shows and events of all sizes.

EXHIBITOR Magazine evaluates convention centers across North America based on a comprehensive grading system. This year’s recognition highlights the Overland Park Convention Center’s sustained performance in key categories including:


- Facility & Functionality
- Location & Accommodations
- Service & Execution
- Expansions & Upgrades
- Awards & Industry Participation

The selection process involves an objective algorithm and a rigorous review of key performance areas. The evaluation also includes surveys from event planners, show organizers, and exhibitors who have hosted or participated in events at the convention center. Additionally, a panel of corporate exhibition managers assesses event spaces, accreditations, and facility innovations.

“Each year, these venues prove their ability to provide exceptional experiences, with elements like the number of nearby hotels and the quality of Wi-Fi access playing pivotal roles in client satisfaction,” said Travis Stanton, editor of EXHIBITOR Magazine.

The Overland Park Convention Center has also earned special recognition in previous years, being awarded Best Customer Service & On-Site Support in North America in 2020 and Best Small Convention Center in North America in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. The venue is once again a finalist for the 2024 Best Small Convention Center in North America award, with winners set to be announced later this year.
