Kansas Social Media Smear Campaign Backfires?!?

This story doesn't seem upbeat but it MIGHT BE . . . Turns out quick responses, the work local journalists and skeptical voters have MOSTLY dispelled the implications from and edited online video.

As AI content and unconfirmed online allegations will undoubtedly proliferate . . . It's important that locals ON BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE remain skeptical. 

Update  . . . We notice our 2nd favorite Kansas prog blog also picked up the story but the vast majority of their content focuses on their own reporting efforts and so many unconfirmed claims.

He also shared an audio recording allegedly from the woman in the video, who he said chose to remain unnamed for her safety and privacy. In it, she says that nothing inappropriate had happened, and echoed Kansas House Candidate Kyler Sweely’s point about the release being politically motivated.

“The release of this video honestly makes me feel super uncomfortable and completely exploited,” she said.
