Kansas City Toy Train Streetcar Worse Than Tesla Schemes?!?

This week Elon Musk debuted his Robovan as the market and tech enthusiasts debate the future of transit.

Meanwhile . . .

Kansas City politely ignores our old school shut down streetcar that remains offline for nearly a month in order to connect to an extension that is more real estate scheme than mass transit.

And so we ask, given recent progressive rebuke of the Tesla King . . .

IS KANSAS CITY'S RETRO TOY TRAIN ANY BETTER THAN SKETCHY TESLA SCHEMES?!?

Sure . . .

The streetcar exists whilst the Hyperloop & so many other Elon Musk visions were just weird fantasy . . . Then again, what about all of those promises about the streetcar boosting downtown biz that never really materialized???

Accordingly . . .

Top ranking local conservative Patrick Touhey recently posted to socials about his trip down memory lane via the toy train . . . Here's a quote from an important bit of writing that still resonates . . . Check-it:

"Kansas City’s political leadership seems on the brink of accomplishing something that has eluded them for years: building a rail transit system in downtown. It only took a decade of study, multiple defeats at the ballot box, and overcoming a lawsuit or two to realize their dream of using 19th century technology to meet 21st century needs."
