Kansas City Streetscaping Isn't Working: Another Pedestrian Hit

Consider . . .

For nearly a decade bike/walk activists have been nearly unopposed in their rampant reworking of local streets and yet the number of pedestrian fatalities have INCREASED

The only notable local opposition has been Truman Road when small biz outrage spiked because bike/walk designs were so silly that they threatened to shut down any workable traffic solution for people wanting to spend a few bucks locally.

Other than that . . . The conversation has been one sided despite a weird sense of persecution by bike/walk activists despite their plans proving exceptionally ineffective at keeping people safe.

And all of this kinda runs together with bus protest activism which has actually served to make public transit even worse and spark complaints from drivers and longtime riders.

Either way . . . We remind locals to look both ways and share today's tragic run-in that should remind us to be careful when walking around this cowtown . . .

The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department said a preliminary investigation revealed a pedestrian was inside a marked crosswalk, crossing 6th Street from south to north.

While the pedestrian was crossing, an unknown type of passenger bus was making a left turn from southbound Wyandotte Street to eastbound 6th Street.

The bus then struck and ran over the pedestrian and left the scene without stopping.

UPDATE: The vehicle and driver have been located. The driver is cooperative.
