This time around . . . The home team not only showed improvement but also a new generation of talent that will the club going forward.

Even more importantly . . . We noticed "Save The K" advocates scurrying to find new talking points when one of their main criticism quickly disappeared and the hometown baseball haters seemed to have been taken down a few notches in terms of popular sentiment.

Winning 86 games, leading the American League Central in late August, and reaching the postseason was a huge accomplishment. None of that feels good right now. I’m sure it will in a few days, but not right now.
