This evening another mass shooting took place in Kansas City's most historic entertainment district . . .
Tonight the police presence is overwhelming in this area so we advise anybody nearby to stay away . . . Here's the basics of what we know right now :
KCPD responded to the area of W. 40th Street and Westport Road following a call for a shooting at 8:03 p.m.
A KCPD spokesperson said people were injured, three with critical injuries and two others with serious injuries.
