Kansas City Mayor Q Politically Doomed By MAGA Victory?!?

As election 2024 moves closer we notice that insiders, pundits & spectators have been pondering the political fortunes of Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas in the event of President Trump's reelection.

Remember . . .

Over the years Mayor Q has been on the campaign trail and pushing hard for all things related to Democratic Party priorities. From gun control to housing issues . . . There is no denying that Mayor Q has provided reliable support to the White House and welcomed the Administration with open arms whenever they needed a Midwestern staging ground for press events.  

In return for his loyalty there has been rampant speculation and more than a few solid hints that Mayor Q is first in line for a plush appointment should Veep Kamala Harris win in November. 

In fact, our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog community hears that Mayor Q might be the new HUD honcho in an upcoming Kamala Harris cabinet.

However . . .

Mayor Q's solid Democratic Party allegiance comes at a cost . . . And so we ask . . .

IS MAYOR Q POLITICALLY DOOMED IF MAGA RECLAIMS THE WHITE HOUSE?!?

Conventional wisdom says that the Mayor will be "boxed out" of D.C. and so many upstream appointment opportunities.

However . . . 

The Democratic Party doesn't magically disappear in the event of a GOP victory.

In fact . . .

There will be more opportunities for political "distinction" in the event of another MAGA presidency given that opposition will be fierce and Dems will need high-ranking and official voices to uphold progressive resistance. And so, we might be looking forward to Mayor Q returning to more pronounced opposition against Republican policy from 12th & Oak if former President Donald Trump returns to the White House. 

That's our take on the topic but we'd like to hear perspective from TKC Sunday readers and their view of KC Mayor's future in the shadow of MAGA.
