All of these KCMO "overlay" plans are stupid and unfriendly to small biz.

But here's the main point of contention since people would rather talk about culture war than the far more boring subject of protecting entry-level local commerce . . .

"The church goers have invoked divisive language in its complaint, referring to the area as "family-friendly" and highlighting the presence of children. These terms are seen by the community as dog whistle language aimed at undermining Leathermasters' role as a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community."
