Kansas City Illegal Street Racing Crackdown Still Not Working

Season change but the "sideshows" never stop in Kansas City.

Here's the latest look at local frustration and the continued call to action for local policy that has yet to take hold . . .

The city recently passed a new ordinance increasing fines for street racers and has added grooves in the street in some areas, but some residents say it's not helping.

"I remember that I saw, and I was amazed. These people will blow a tire. The street racers will re-tire. They've got a pickup truck full of tires, but there's, like, a pit crew," said Steven, another South Kansas City resident.
