Kansas City Hipsters At The Bridge Celebrate Public Radio Day

We're torn by The Bridge.

As far as music goes . . . Unless we get in a "mood" for old-school tunes and want to hear "Start Me Up" for the 12,000th time . . .The Bridge offers the best listening experience for free and/or when those of us are too lazy to plug our phones into the car USB port.

However . . .

Like most "public" media options . . . The politics of "The Bridge" are leftist bordering on straight up Marxist . . . That's understandable given that they only stay afloat by constantly & insistently begging for cash.

Interestingly . . . They're so dedicated to their agenda that they've recently attempted to ruin a decent listening experience by adding "inclusive" bumpers touting pronouns and a vast array of progressive jargon just to get the point across that they only want a desired demographic to tune in . . . And yet, objectively, there's simply no denying that their music selections are EXCELLENT

And so . . .

We continually risk eyestrain and keep tuning in . . . Here's their latest promo so that listeners will keep sending in oversized donations to keep their oversized staff in pricey lattes and extra-large designer jeans:

"The Bridge will be commemorating the day by doing what we do best – leading the path in diverse music discovery and supporting Kansas City's vibrant music scene! You'll hear from local and national artists about the impact of public radio on their lives, along with a new 909 Session from Jana Mila and much more."
