Kansas City Earns Anime Bucks Without Breaking Any Laws

Sorry, we're showing our age . . . 

However . . .

Animation pioneered in Japan has always given us "the ick" because the absurdist humor isn't always intentional and it seems like it's geared toward people on the autism spectrum. 

Admittedly . . . 

Even if it was before our time, TKC was raised on post-war & 50s, 60s & 70s era American animation that is now quickly disappearing because it has been largely deemed inappropriate and culturally insensitive. 

To be fair, that anime tribute to MAGA was pretty tight no matter politics or personal preference.

Accordingly . . .  

Right now we take a peek at the future wherein cheaply manufactured international dramatic cartoon fare replaces home grown comedy creativity.

"According to organizers, the spring Planet Comicon Kansas City Convention brought in $12 million to Kansas City and Planet Anime is a niche category of that. They expect more than 70,000 people to attend the Comic Con in March of 2025 but they got a glimpse again of the passion anime fans have this weekend."

Planet Anime Convention welcomes thousands that spend millions for local economy

The second annual Planet Anime Kansas City Convention inside Bartle Hall welcomed thousands throughout the weekend leading to millions of dollars invested in the city.
