Kansas City Council Lady Reports 'Racially-Charged' Threats Amid Urban Farm Debate

Tragically, the effort to save the world by way of veggies and composting has been co-opted by trolls and haterz. 

Also . . . 

Allegations of racism are, sadly, commonplace at 12th & Oak during tense negotiations. 

Accordingly . . . 

Seriously . . . We don't think anybody should be subject to any kind of threat doing something as insignificant & tedious as legislating property lines.

And so we hope that cooler heads prevail amid a soul-crushing series of meeting that will continue until somebody gives up . . . Check-it:

“I respectfully ask you guys as a member of that [Neighborhood Planning and Development] committee that you give us some cooling off time,” said Councilmember Melissa Patterson Hazley.

“I’ve also shared I’ve been on the receiving end of some very racially-charged emails and phone calls and I would like the temperature to go down.”
