Johnson County Commish Fights Culture War Over Drag Show Invite

There are some fun tidbits dangled about in this report which mostly serves to rile up our suburban friends before the 2024 election showdown.

Has anybody ever noticed that even supporters of Commish Charlotte O'Hara don't seem to like her very much?!?

Actually . . . She deserves props for that kind of begrudging respect.

Also, it's impossible not to notice varying degrees of right-wing fascination with trans culture that sparks intense emotion for a facet of American culture that went mainstream and became boring something in the late 90s. 

Accordingly, here's a peek at the conservative firebrand stirring the pot again in the Golden Ghetto:

In an email to constituents and other citizens this week, Commissioner Charlotte O’Hara says “advertising and attending a Drag Queen Show” in June that was billed as a “family-friendly” show at a pride event is part of “Chairman Mike Kelly’s radical leftist policies.”

The drag show encouraged tips for the entertainers, akin to those at a strip club.

Meanwhile . . . 

Credit to this news outlet for taking quotes from both sides on the "tampon" non-issue and noting the perfectly plausible viewpoint of the JoCo library . . . That youngsters might need supplies for females in their lives and don't have have a discreet way of easily procuring them . . . Not to mention that making a political issue of female sanitary supplies threatens to stigmatize & hurt young women far more than male political opposition.
