Jackson County Democrats Confirm Rampant Political Sign Stealing In Brookside/Waldo

Election season now involves a bit of criminality in Kansas City.

It seems that political signs are under attack in our 2nd favorite part of town.

Here's the word sent to supporters this afternoon.

"There have been at least 25-30 people walk in, call, or email today about their signs being stolen in the waldo and brookside area. Sorry that this happened. Hopefully someone caught the license plate or something to identify them."

And we post this because a lot of people don't know . . .

Stealing or vandalizing political signs is against the law.

Sure it's a misdemeanor and it's clear that local authorities are busy with more important stuff. And so it might be civic duty to refrain from these kind of antics if only to save law enforcement from wasting time in the midst of a local violent crime wave.
