Deadspin FAILS To Dismiss Defamation Lawsuit Over Youngster Chiefs Fan Gear

An embattled online outlet struggles to fight the claims of parents regarding reporting on the cosplay of their son.

Ultimately this case is a loser given that the statements were subjective. Then again . . . Juries tend not to have much sympathy for journalists nowadays.

More importantly . . . The court costs are probably killing the struggling online outlet that CERTAINLY committed an overreach by way of sensational commentary aimed at a youngster . . . Which, again, might or might not qualify as actual malice.

In the meantime, our conservative friends will count this as a victory in an ongoing culture war that mostly serves to power social media . . . Check-it:
