Country Club Plaza Forced To Spend 'MILLIONS' On Security

This might be good news for Kansas City's premiere entertainment district.

However . . .

THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH MORE THE PLAZA WOULD BE ABLE TO SPEND ON IMPROVEMENTS IF SECURITY COSTS WEREN'T SO HIGH!?!?

Consider . . .

In the long run there's no society that can afford to police everyone all the time . . . And nobody would want to live under those conditions.

At some point people must govern themselves and uphold some kind of standard of conduct that doesn't endanger EVERYONE.

What is concerning is that KC was once a place that didn't require an overwhelming security presence at every public event . . . Now, not so much.

In the meantime . . . Here's hoping that more investment might be able to convince locals that this part of town is safe . . .  Check-it:

"We came in and painted all the stairwells, brought in new lighting, brought in new security," said Ray Washburne, president of HP Village Management. "We’ve added about a million dollars to the security budget."
