Climate Change Kills Kansas City Trees?!?

In fairness . . .

We've all heard reports of more diseased local trees cut down . . . Especially the old ones . . . We don't dispute more local trees meeting their maker in local years.

Nevertheless . . . 

We ALSO won't pretend to understand the science . . . For that . . . Check locals inventing their own explanations that basically blame your mom's SUV for all of the world's problems.

The approach of fall in our region should mean a picturesque foliage display is also on the way, but more and more Kansas City trees are dying. While it’s uncertain what that could mean for urban foliage photo shoots, fewer urban trees will mean a hotter city if the issue isn’t addressed.

“We are anecdotally seeing a lot of declines in our trees,” says Kansas City Parks Environmental Manager Stephen Van Rhein. “We’re doing a lot of removals … much more than we used to have historically.”
