Serving Kansas City Discourse & Not BBQ

Credit to KICK-ASS TKC READERS for sharing a recent, misguided, report regarding our bloggy efforts.

But first . . . Context .  . .

"Roughly 57% of all web-based text has been AI generated or translated through an AI algorithm, according to a separate study from a team of Amazon Web Services researchers published in June."

Accordingly . . .

We're linking this item for two reasons . . . It's Friday night and nobody cares.

Also . . .

This report KINDA encourages our mission here given that the web and US news coverage is quickly turning into junk and there aren't many places that locals can go find any kind of analysis, reporting or, Heaven forbid, worthwhile snark about local issues . . . Eventually "the algorithm" will improve and yet it's still very rare to find anyone who can consistently share at least somewhat amusing insights . . . Thankfully, the machines haven't shown any progress in telling jokes.

More to the point . . .

Even Superman ain't funny.

And so . . . The fact that we remain "somewhat amusing" might be enough to carry on here for the moment . . . It typically beats most of the "mission statements" we've seen from the dark money donation blogs who don't seem to have a sense of humor about anything.

And all of that prologue brings us to this . . .

CHECK AI GARBAGE MISTAKING TKC FOR LOCAL BBQ GOODNESS!!!

Strangely, this isn't the first time this has happened . . . Actually, one of the local big name BBQ places actually changed their branding to match our moniker.

And then . . .

We remember some hate-blogger made the obvious joke as well until he was cancelled and booted to Rumble or some other garbage streaming channel.

Finally . . .

Here's the description and hope that nobody shows up to my (mom's) basement expecting a good meal because we only have a limited amount of iced coffee and Chinese leftovers to share . . .

"Tony's KC has a rich history dating back several decades in Kansas City. Tony, a BBQ aficionado with a love for crafting the ideal smoked meats, opened the restaurant and soon won over many devoted patrons. The early going was modest, with a limited menu that concentrated on honing the fundamentals. Tony’s KC grew in popularity and offers throughout time, earning a slot on the local and tourist calendar that is not to be missed."
