Missouri & Kansas Officials Targeted By 'Suspicious' Snail Mail

Sadly . . . This is one more sign that election season is also coming to a stunning anti-climax.

Also, it might be another reason that old school Seinfeld episodes were right about cancelling the mail altogether. 

Nevertheless . . . 

Here's the main point about the ongoing investigation . . .

The FBI is collecting the packages, some of which contained "an unknown substance," agency spokesperson Kristen Setera in Boston said in a statement.

"We are also working with our partners to determine how many letters were sent, the individual or individuals responsible for the letters, and the motive behind the letters," she said. "As this is an ongoing matter we will not be commenting further on the investigation, but the public can be assured safety is our top priority."

FBI investigating packages sent to election officials in Missouri, Kansas and other states

The FBI and the U.S. Postal Service were investigating the origin of suspicious packages that have been sent to elections officials in more than 15 states, including in Missouri and Kansas. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
