MARC Demands Plastic Bag Recycling Compliance From Kansas City

Long story short . . .

This sketchy local group wants your grandma to take the bus out to a "designated recycling center" and limp her way across an asphalt parking lot in order to throw away her plastic bags.

Good luck with that . . .

Here are today's environmental marching orders . . . Check-it:

According to the Mid-America Regional Council, too many Kansas City area residents are throwing unrecyclable plastic into their recycling carts at the curb.

The organization wants to make sure Kansas City-area residents know how to recycle plastic much better.

“Contamination is a huge problem,” MARC Outreach Coordinator Matt Riggs said. “What we're trying to do is get people to recycle right, and that's put the right things in the bin and keep the wrong things out of the bin.”

“They're 100% recyclable,” Riggs said. “They just should not go in your curbside bin.”
