Kansas City Traffic Kills Chinese Music Student At City College

Real talk . . .

We don't deny that navigating this commuter college is dangerous for EVERYONE

Long, long ago this was our stomping ground and it's sad to note that not much has changed . . . TKC survived a few close calls only because we've always understood that Rockhill Rd. has always been a mini-highway and uninsured dangerous drivers heading East abound on campus streets. These are not politically correct ideas but they're important to understand when navigating an urban campus. It's a civic duty of townie students to politely try to inform all visiting scholars of these facts of life.

Sadly . . .

In a statement, the university said the student, Yuxi Wu, was in her first semester of studies toward a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance.

"We are devastated by this tragic loss, and our hearts go out to her family and loved ones," the university said in a statement. "We are providing counseling services to students, faculty and staff during this difficult time for our campus community."
