Kansas City Mayor Q Shares Crime Spike Defund Police Slideshow?!?

This evening Mayor Q teases talking points that don't really make sense.

We're relying on news junkies to help us figure this one out and the best place to start is by quoting the Mayor's latest statement ahead of an upcoming Public Safety meetup . . .

On Tuesday, the Kansas City Council Finance Committee will discuss important public safety issues at a 6PM meeting at the Plaza Library.

ARE THESE SLIDES ARGUING THAT MORE CASH FOR COPS DOESN'T PRODUCE RESULTS?!? THAT'S A BOLD STATEMENT THAT SEEMS TO PUT BLAME FOR HISTORIC CRIME NUMBERS ON KCPD!!!

Again . . .

We can debate local control and public safety budget percentages but these have been the same throughout the modern era . . . Only under the leadership of Mayor Q have crime stats exploded.

Over and over, we've argued that this is a matter of leadership and, sadly, Mayor Q's administration along with so many like-minded officials in municipal government have been WEAK ON CRIME over the past five years.

We're the first and only media outlet to note the debacle involving the BLM Plaza riots amongst other examples . . .

But now the point is . . .

WILL KANSAS CITY ALLOW MAYOR Q TO PASS THE BUCK TO KCPD REGARDING HISTORIC CRIME NUMBERS?!?

Because that's all we can make out of this power move . . .
