Kansas City Councilman Duncan Declares 'Injustice' In Vote Against Upcoming Jail

At the very least, given that we don't agree with this reasoning, we respect the veteran and councilman for sharing his reasoning with voters regarding opposition against a desperately needed KCMO holding facility jail . . . Here's the crux of his statement . . .

"Our communities are crying out. Armed juveniles steal our cars, serial burglars damage our businesses, and gun violence continues to plague our streets. There’s pressure to do something, but this facility will solve none of those and will house the non violent & the homeless.

"Annually we spend hundreds of millions on enforcement and a fraction of that on prevention. This is an injustice . . . "
