Kansas City Bishop Urges No Vote Against Missouri Amendment 3

Bishop James V. Johnston, Jr. has served as the leader of the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph in Missouri since 2015

For the most part his tenure hasn't been very controversial. He has worked to repair damage suffered by the Church in recent sex abuse litigation and fostered more open and forthright communication amongst his flock.

However, as campaign season 2024 moves forward . . . This week Bishop Johnston sent an unprecedented message throughout the Diocese and we're honestly surprised that his words haven't resonated more clearly.

Apropos for Sunday . . .

KANSAS CITY BISHOP JOHNSTON FEARS "CULTURE OF DEATH" VOTES TRENDING & URGES CATHOLIC FAITHFUL TO VOTE NO ON AMENDMENT 3!!!

Again . . .

Outright political orders are exceptionally rare for Catholic clerics and so we believe this message deserves special attention.

Here's the Kansas City Catholic call to action with more documentation afterward . . .

So what can you do?

Pray

I believe the magnitude and gravity of the current moment requires a fervent spiritual response. For, to be honest the present odds appear to favor the culture of death. Go to Mass and pray that God will save Missouri; pray the Rosary daily through November 5; invoke the intercession of St. Joseph who protected the infant Christ against the wickedness of Herod, and if you're able, practice fasting on Fridays.

Vote

I am urging you to vote "no" on Amendment 3 so that women and preborn babies continue to be protected in Missouri from the trauma of abortion and that Missourians will no surrender their rights. Share the facts about his alarming amendment with others.
