Jackson County Prosecutor Soft On Crime Mythbusting Part Deux

This week the protestations of the lady we lovingly call "Mean Jean" fell flat.

Nobody seemed interested in hearing the top ranking politico attempt to clean up her legacy amid some of the most deadly years in KC metro history.

Certainly . . .

There is plenty of blame to share . . . However . . .

IT'S ALWAYS MORE IMPRESSIVE WHEN AN ELECTED OFFICIAL ACCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY RATHER THAN WASTES TIME DISPUTING CRITICS!!!

A more successful tenure would involve a continuation of worthwhile efforts and building on achievements.

Real Talk: Voters don't care about cleaning up the résumé of an elected official.

That's our take . . .

Here's more perspective from the courthouse . . .

"I want to address the myth. The data shows we file a large majority – as high as 88 percent for Motor Vehicle Thefts -- of the property crimes brought to our office. But a very small percentage of the total reported property crimes are submitted to us for charges. That is quite different from the myth of the prosecutor’s office not prosecuting.  And it is key information because a prosecutor can only prosecute the cases brought to that prosecutor."

Here's a video via www.TonysKansasCity.com embed that offers more explanation . . .
