Jackson County Property Tax Payment Erupts Into Ruckus & Arrest

Tonight we send a shout out to the good people of Meth Town who don't stand on ceremony and remain quick to question authority even amid the contemporary American political mandate that idolizes cooperation and compliance.

Accordingly . . . And given so much ill-will toward tax collection throughout human history . . . We share this local slice of life that escaped our attention during the week . . . Check-it:

“I walked in the building there’s a lady standing there. I said ma’am I need to pay my personal property tax,” he explained.

“Where do I do that? She says, ‘I need your I.D. What do you need my I.D. for?’”

He says he was confused because he didn’t think he had to hand over identification. He was then told he was trespassing. He didn’t provide identification.

Jackson County man charged after getting arrested while paying taxes

In May of 2024, Kansas City resident Zak Nenno was arrested after trying to pay a bill at the historic Truman Courthouse in Independence, Missouri.
