Here's How Kansas City Public Library Celebrates Banned Books Week

Yes, we always joke about the library mostly serving as this cowtown's very best daytime hobo lounge. Because that's funny.

But one thing the Library does very well is host public conversations that nobody else is willing to consider. 

Accordingly . . .

We credit the Library for this kind of conversation coming up . . .

In recognition of Banned Books Week, September 22-28, the Kansas City Public Library hosts two guest speakers: Margaret Atwood – author of dozens of books, including “The Handmaid’s Tale” – on September 24, and “That Librarian” author Amanda Jones on September 25.
