Kansas Governor Laura Kelly recently announced that more than $28 million has been awarded to state-based organizations that help children and adult survivors of crime throughout the Sunflower State.

“It is critical for survivors of crime to have support and access to services to recover and find a sense of justice,” Gov. Kelly said. “These investments ensure Kansans across the state are not left to cope alone after a crime occurs.”

Kelly said the bipartisan Legislature helped increase state grant funds to sustain Kansas programs that saw a decrease from the federal Victims of Crime Act Victim Assistance Program.
