The KCMO homicide number is significantly lower from last year's RECORD-BREAKING pace.
However . . .
Non-fatal shootings are up and property crime has exploded across the metro.
Even worse . . .
Constant weekend "street takeovers" & "sideshows" have made locals feel less confident about the security of their communities.
As always, we share a more hopeful perspective . . .

Community leader discusses crime numbers being down in KCMO, wants more done to reduce violence
Violent crimes have dropped this year nationally and in Kansas City, Missouri. There have been 117 so far in 2024, compared with 145 at this time a year ago.
