The aftermath of a tragic collision worsened recently . . . Here's the latest report and a stolen car trend that impacts perpetrators and community . . . Check-it:
Initial reports indicated that two men died at the scene of the crash. According to updated information provided by KCPD on Wednesday, three people died and at least one was a minor.
KCPD stated that emergency crews first responded to the crash involving two cars at E. 35th Street and Norton Avenue around 5 p.m. on Aug. 13.
The crash happened after a KCPD officer pulled a blue Kia Soul over at 31st Street and Cleveland Avenue for a traffic violation. As the officer got out of his car, the Kia sped off. The officer did not pursue the Kia and noted its plates came back as a stolen car.
