Kansas City Star Highlights Lawsuit After Deadly Police Shooting

A worthwhile bit of reporting . . .

Two things . . .

Nobody REALLY cares about a rough shoplifting arrest at Walmart.

However . . .

The case of police shooting does merit more consideration and the whole thing is on video that would be worthwhile to show to the public.

BECAUSE . . . We trust TV news reporting of this shooting far more than anything written in the newspaper.

However . . .

We advise objective & reasonable people to give this case a moment of pause before activists on either side start politicking around the case . . . A regrettable fact of life regarding a less than speedy trial:

"The case was handed over to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office for review in October, but the office has not made a charging decision nearly a year later."

Last summer, a KC officer killed two people. Those left behind are still trying to recover

Officer Blayne Newton shot Jaden Thorns last year and killed two others. Years prior, the same officer shot and killed another man. He still remains on Kansas City's police force.
