Kansas City Hipster Radio Station Celebrates 24th Anniversary

Credit where it's due . . .

We often update readers on local media FAIL but right now we want to share a success story.

Listeners across the metro have helped to make The Bridge one of the most successful and stable operations on the dial.

To be fair, nobody is taking home fat stacks of cash, there are many "volunteers" who help keep the station on the air and it doesn't seem like any of the on-air talent is using the job as their full-time gig.

However . . .

By way of donations both big and small they have maintained a worthwhile endeavor by offering listeners more organic music selections that remind us of the glory days of college radio and so we share our best wishes toward their achievement . . .

"For nearly a quarter-century, 90.9 The Bridge has been a steadfast advocate for the local music scene.
