Kansas City Conservative Columnist DESTROYS Crime Research From The Pitch

For Friday we share an important update regarding the local discourse and growing concern about the rise in Kansas City metro crime.

Consider . . .

Over the past few years local journalists haven't been eager to contradict each other in public or discuss the work of their political adversaries . . . Or even people they might just disagree with regarding policy.

That's unfortunate because political conversation should be a dialectic that requires a free and fair exchange of ideas in order to forge consensus or at least an accurate understanding of BOTH sides.

And so . . . On matters of public policy it's actually helpful and worthwhile to respectfully engage with political opponents and share ideas.

To wit . . .

CHECK CONSERVATIVE PATRICK TUOHEY TAKING APART THE PITCH AFTER THEIR RECENT CRIME REPORTING!!!

For those who don't know . . . Patrick Tuohey has been a policy expert for conservative think tank and currently writes a column for the Kansas City Star along with other special interests.

We found his clap back against The Pitch and their staff worthwhile when it comes to gauging accurate local journalism . . . Here's the money line and a link . . .

"Issues surrounding crime and law enforcement are not easily settled. They are made even more complicated by partisan politics. I suspect Mayor Lucas knows better than what he claimed, and The Pitch should be a little more thorough with its facts and research."
