There's a lot to debate here but this is our main takeaway for now . . .

For those hoping to decipher this situation, here's a hint: Horrific management and the ATA acting as a developer piggy bank has inspired many municipalities to turn away from the service.  At some point, there's probably going to be some kind of legal fight that won't be pretty given so many sketchy deals hatched by this local resource mired in political intrigue.

In the meantime . . . 

Here's another local town wanting to put distance between themselves and this struggling institution:

The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) confirmed on Aug. 28 that the City of Blue Springs has chosen not to renew its contract for bus services.

In a flyer handed out to riders, KCATA said bus services will be suspended on Oct. 6, 2024, and asked that all questions be directed to the city.
