Will More Office Space Save Kansas City Country Club Plaza?!?

NO. No it won't.

It's only a slightly better option than doubling down on retail. Even upscale brands.

CRIME IS THE WORST PROBLEM CONFRONTING THE PLAZA AND EMPTY OFFICES MIGHT NOT SOLVE THAT ONGOING CRISIS!!!

Here's the plan so far . . .

"HP Village Management LLC looks to convert the remainder of the Cinemark Palace at the Plaza movie theater complex at 500 Nichols Road to new offices above ground-floor retail space.

The four-story, 129,928-square-foot building now is largely vacant, except for Urban Outfitters and Brio Italian Grille, according to CoStar. Cinemark shuttered its Plaza location in 2019, the same year part of its theater was torn down with other retail structures in the footprint of the Nordstrom plans that did not pan out."
