The new parking instructions in the River Market take three signs to explain, and it still may leave you scratching your head.

The first option on the list of payment options is the Park KC App, the second is a number to text that will take you to a website for payment, and the third option is for you to hunt for a nearby kiosk.

However, all of the rules on payment rates are thrown out the window if event parking is taking place, like if the KC Current has a home game. The City website outlines the rationality behind surge pricing.

Businesses in the River Market are expressing frustration at a new parking payment structure that has been implemented by Kansas City.
